Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns are an American professional football team that represent the Cleveland city of Ohio. Found in the year 1946, the team is a member of National Football Conference (NFC) and National Football League (NFL). Paul Brown was the founder of the team and thus it was named after him. Unlike other football teams that struggled in their starting years, Cleveland Browns tasted the success at very early stage by winning League Championship in 1950, followed by 1954 and 1955. During that time, the team appeared in ten straight championships and they succeeded winning in seven.
The golden era was still to arrive, and the Cleveland Browns enjoyed it during the period of 1960s and 1970s. During that period, it was the most dominating football team having a streak of continuous victories. In the 1980 Season, the team won the title with recording 11-5. But time changed and they have to struggle in mid 80s. It was the time when the performance and ranking of the team was declining gradually. In 1983, they finished at 5-11 and in 1990; they finished at 3-13. The mid seasons were also not too good, pushing the team on back foot.
2007 was the year that entirely changed the pace of Cleveland Browns and they finished the season at 10-6. Later in 2011, the team ended-up at the record of 4-12, which was also not the good performance by them. Their performance in 2012 season was also not good and the team could not meet the expectations of the fans.
The official uniform of Cleveland Browns includes brown with white jersey and white pants. Earlier, the team used to sport white jersey with brown pants but it was not cherished by fans so much. Therefore, the dress was changed in 2010 to white jersey with white pants. Despite of its poor records in the NFL Championship, the team still have thousands of diehard fans.
